Led Zeppelin Reunion at London's O2 Arena
This is GREAT news. I first heard Led Zeppelin as a freshman in high school. It was at the end of the Senior Play and this incredible sound came booming
over the PA system. It was "Whole Lotta Love" by none other than Led Zeppelin. I became an instant fan. The music was so powerful and raw.
I finally got to see Led Zeppelin in concert at Cobo Arena for the Stairway to Heaven tour.
I was saddened by the death of John Bonham and the ensuing break-up of the band.
Well now here it is some 38 years later and the Led Zeppelin Reunion announcement came as an awesome surprise. I am really happy that Jason Bonham is playing drums for them
and it is only fitting that he is.
About ten years ago or so, Jason Bonham came to do a drum clinic at a local music store in my area. Well, I am a guitarist and I really was curious as to what he
had to say. He came with a Zeppelin tribute band and they performed a couple of numbers.
What fascinated me most was his story of growing up with a famous
father, John Bonham aka Bonzo. He talked about how his father gave him lessons and would come home after partying with some of his buddies, Keith Richards and
other and would wake Jason up in the wee hours to have him play the drums for his partying buddies. Very intriguing.
